Design Toscano is looking for a Level 2 helpdesk technician to assist in maintaining a reliable, secure and efficient data communications network. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation. This is a salaried position responsible for supporting and maintaining windows servers, and windows workstations at our Wood Dale and Bensenville locations. Some travel will be necessary between the locations.
Required qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft networking components, including DHCP and DNS.
- Skills to address emergency system and networking problems including skill in break/fix for desktops, laptops and printers.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve PC and basic network issues independently
- Ability to support VPN access
- Ability to manage basic network/system related help desk tickets
- Knowledge of Office 365 will be considered a bonus
- Willing to train the right candidate on more specific tools and technologies
Education: A degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience is preferred. Additional professional certifications are a bonus.
