Stop Stick Ltd., the world’s leading standard of tire deflation devices in the law enforcement community, has expanded with Stop Stick Tactical Protection products; including its affiliate branded Bonowi® Batons and Bonowi Hart Armour Ballistic protection products. This expansion creates an exciting new distribution sales position on our sales team.
The Distributor Sales Manager builds and executes a plan to strategically sell unique, new-to-market law enforcement tactical protection product(s) through national distribution channels. This requires skill in mining and developing a distribution network, negotiation of contracts, leveraging marketing and fostering mutually beneficial long-term relationships.

The “ideal candidate” will have an existing law enforcement network and previous experience working with law enforcement product distributors or in sales of law enforcement products on a large, regional or national scale.
Location: Ideally, this role will work out of our Cincinnati-area corporate headquarters. However, we have flexibility and are open to qualified candidates from the Lexington, KY area or other regional markets proximal to Cincinnati.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Become an expert on the product features, differentiators, competitors, sources of potential customers, marketing materials, challenges and opportunities to exponentially grow new sales.
- Source and establish a network of regional distributors based on their existing customer base, product lines and ability to successfully sell Stop Stick tactical products.
- Negotiate and execute contracts in identified regional markets including development of terms that are a win-win for both parties and accomplish overall sales targets.
- Proactively establish sales goals for each distributor and maintain ongoing communication to offer support and give/receive feedback on how to attain goals together. This includes continually assessing, clarifying and validating distributor and customer needs through a variety of regular communication channels.
- Facilitate the Sales team’s engagement with Distributors and provide regular progress updates to the sales team and CEO; including any issues with Supply Chain, customer satisfaction or market competition challenges.
- Utilize the Sales database (1CRM) to track customer and distributor communications as well as produce quotes.
- Handle (solve or escalate) all issues related to day-to-day order processing and Distributor credit situations.
- Keep a close handle on the sales pipeline and work proactively to ensure all orders are closed and processed by their committed Close/Ship date.
- Work with Distributors and Channel Product Market to develop, land, and monitor Channel Sales incentives and promotions for Distributors.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years proven sales experience, including strategic B2B selling, preferably in law enforcement, tactical, emergency or safety products.
- 2+ years’ experience managing reseller/distributors (strongly preferred).
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or related field.
- Ability to travel as much as necessary to meet/exceed targets. Estimated travel 35%
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
- Proven ability to conduct market analysis, isolate and execute on opportunities and grow market penetration.
- Sense of urgency to find, sell, and service customers.
- Strong conflict resolution skills. Able to professionally interact with dissatisfied customers, product failures, and other emergency situations while reassuring the customer/distributor of the excellence of our products and integrity of the company.
- Energetic, strategic, focused and highly motivated self-starter who can work at all levels in the sales process and across departments.
- Skills to utilize Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), sales tracking programs, contract negotiation and ability to communicate confidently and effectively orally and in writing.
Compensation: $60k - $80k base PLUS target commission and bonus into six (6) figures based on performance. Mileage, travel and expense reimbursement.
