Job Title: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our dental providers in delivering oral healthcare services. As an EFDA, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office.
Duties:
- Perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties under the supervision of our dental providers
- Assist in various dental procedures including Cerec crown fabrication, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, orthodontic and general dentistry
- Utilize Dentrix software for patient charting and scheduling
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow in the clinical arena
- Provide chairside assistance during dental treatments
- Handle patient inquiries and educate them on proper oral hygiene practices
- Uphold HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Expanded Functions Dental Assistant program
- Proficiency in assisting with endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and general dentistry procedures
- Experience with Dentrix software is preferred
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control standards
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient privacy
