Exciting Opportunity! Community Residential Services Association, Washington’s association for Certified Community Residential Providers, is hiring an Association Director! In this exciting role, you will be responsible for carrying out the day to day administration of CRSA’s Association business. The ideal candidate will be an organized and effective leader with a record of work supporting coalitions and associations to have a visible and growing community presence. Responsibilities
Legislative Activities:
1. Assisting the lobbyist and Legislative committee chair with developing messaging and
lobbying materials;
2. Assisting with research and compilation of data related to funding and other industry
metrics;
3. Working with members to schedule and coordinate meetings with legislators, both
during and outside of legislative session;
4. Coordinating advocacy efforts and rallies during session;
5. Serving as State Executive to ANCOR.
Marketing and Membership Activities:
1. Increasing revenue through membership development;
2. Coordination of Ambassador program, including identification of Ambassadors for each
region, orientation of new members, assigning Ambassadors to new members, nurturing
direct involvement in CRSA activities, such as committee membership and/or other
projects, and maintaining regular follow-along contact.
Administrative Support:
1. Actively engage, support and guide the Executive Committee and Committee Chairs to
implement the association’s goals.
2. Provide administrative support to the executive, standing and ad-hoc committees to
achieve the association’s strategic goals.
3. Management of both internal and external communication and information distribution
Records and materials management and distribution.
4. Ensure administration and updating of CRSA’s website and social media outlets.
5. Database management.
6. Attendance at CRSA meetings, including but not limited to membership meetings,
executive committee meetings and conference calls, and other meetings as assigned by
the CRSA chairperson, preparation of meeting minutes for committee meetings, and
preparation and distribution of approved media releases.
7. Management of accounts receivable and accounts payable and submission to
bookkeeper for payment.
Event Coordination:
1. Logistical support for meetings and CRSA-sponsored training, as well as coordination
and support for conferences and other CRSA-sponsored events.
2. Procurement of financial resources for conferences, events, and training.
3. Other projects as assigned by the Association Chair or by Committee Chair(s), such as
research and proposal development, grant writing, and the like, consistent with the
strategic plan and goals of the association
Contract Activities:
1. Assisting the Contracts Committee with research and compilation of data related to existing DDA contracts; includes deep dives into WAC and RCWs that direct the industry.
2. Works with the Contracts Committee on preparing materials related to contract language negotiation with DDA; this may include responding to CR-101 filings, giving written testimony to the Legislature regarding potential policy changes; and being present/actively participating in Contracts Committee calls and meetings ;
3. During contract language negotiations, will assist the Contracts Committee with note-taking, capturing language changes, tracking changes contract over contract, and other tasks as needed to ensure that we have complete information regarding contract changes;
4. Supports the Contracts Committee with reviewing industry materials (from CMS, ANCOR, and the like) to ensure that we are noting any upcoming changes that may affect our work.
Location and Hours:
This position will be based remotely and will require flexibility within work hours and travel. A typical 40 hour work week will be within business hours. During the legislative session, there will be some weekends and evening hours needed to cover events, respond to legislative session schedules, and attend community meetings.
