Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires, etc.
- Schedule and overlook all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
- Repair/Replace vehicle/ trailer components.
- Open and Close repair orders on a company-issued device.
- Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.
Qualifications:
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE
- Minimum of 5 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
- Communication skills
- Ability to work some overtime when needed
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
- 5 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must possess proper tools
WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT
- High School education or equivalent
- Certifications are a plus
- Welding experience
- CDL, a plus
- The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
