Overview:
Are you a passionate Pharmacist eager to make a difference in the lives of long-term care residents? As a Pharmacist, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. This is a contract opportunity with the possible option to go perm.
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Provide comprehensive counseling to patients and caregivers on medication use, dosage, and potential side effects.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Oversee medication dispensing and compounding activities to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Monitor patients for potential drug interactions, adverse reactions, and therapeutic duplications.
Qualifications:
- PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
- Active pharmacist license in the state
- Previous experience in long term care pharmacy practice preferred.
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of geriatric pharmacotherapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Schedule:
- Full-time position with flexible scheduling options.
- 3rd shifts available, with occasional weekends as needed.

Pay: $58.00 - $66.00 per hour
