Alan Wire is located in Sikeston, Missouri and proud to be an American manufacturer. Our company began in 1974 as a small bare copper manufacturer serving the utility and electrical wholesale markets with bare copper products in the Midwest. Over the years, the company has expanded into a variety of insulated products, stretching across multiple market channels coast to coast. Responsibilities and Duties
General
- Work Safe and constantly look to identify and notify supervisors of unsafe conditions / practices
- Prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision, supporting both plants
- Attention to detail
- Work flexible hours to support customer requirements
- Constantly look from a pro-active perspective at opportunities to improve
- Data Entry
- Proficiently use excel, word, and general PC skills
- Accurately enter data that will be used for customer reports, certification documentation and defect analysis
- Comfortable with email and associated databases used to collect, store and report information
GaugesQuality Audit ChecksTeamwork / CommunicationTraining
- Provide support for hand mics, microscopes, laser mic systems and all measurement devices
- Timely response to production needs in the event of a measurement device problem
- Ensures calibration system is maintained
- Proficiently perform product checks
- Identifies any instances that the operator did not perform sample checks by procedure
- Ensure that any check that is found out of specification is reported and containment has been implemented to ensure customers are not impacted
- Perform all checks required by UL and CSA and support in all on site audits
- Monitor and report any material usage deviations to leads and supervisors
- Good communication of problems when deviations are found during the audit process
- Possess good conflict resolution skills
- The ability to respect all associates at all times and act in a professional manner
- Assist in the development of team members through QA technical support when needed
- Assists everyone in the interpretation of QA procedures through support of the supervisors and lead associates
- Coaches and mentors newer associates during their training period supporting the lead and supervisor
