Career progression

Although each career path is different and is based on one’s strengths and company needs, a typical career path for a Driver is the following: Trainer, Lead, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, Manager.
Required Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload all equipment on trucks, checking quantities before loading.
- Perform thorough pre-trip inspection and mandatory safety checks for the vehicle before each shift.
- Drive a heavy vehicle responsibly, respecting traffic regulations and ensuring product security during transportation.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatchers via radio, providing updates and addressing job-related issues.
- Maintain a clean working area, loading docks, and equipment.
- Follow all health, safety, and security procedures, including the proper use of equipment.
- Wear Newrest uniform, including safety vest, work boots, and SIDA badge.
- Train new drivers and ensure compliance with general manufacturing practices.
- Utilize technology provided to complete daily functions and follow current and new operation procedures.
Education/Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Previous experience driving large vehicles.
- Current and valid state-issued Driver License with a safe driving record.
- Prior experience in the airline or aviation industry is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to pass all required airport security clearances.
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Understanding and ability to use technological devices.
- Good attendance records and adaptability to new operating procedures.
- Awareness of safety risks and effective communication of issues.
- Knowledge of HACCP standards.
- Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Environment
The role involves standing, walking, and handling equipment. You may lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors, experiencing varying temperatures. Noise levels may range from moderate to very loud, and you may walk on high heights and uneven surfaces near aircraft and vehicles.
