```Job Summary```
We are searching for a driven, detail-oriented engineering technician who is ready to roll up their sleeves, be hands on and work with our fast-growing company!
In this role as an engineering technician, you will be responsible for implementing engineering solutions as well as supporting the initial pilot-plant program. The program demonstrates a high metallization of iron ore fines by hydrogen in simulated and pilot-scale reactors. As a technician you will be working alongside the engineers, assisting with their research, evaluation and quality control processes.
```Duties```
● Work alongside engineers to build, design and test solutions to a variety of technical issues of the pilot-plant program
● Assembly of piping and tubing
● Constructing and modifying gas-handling systems
● Work with hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, natural gas
● Handle powder materials
● Operate control panels
● Integrate instrumentation, heating and flow devices together
● Assist with electrical component integration
● Maintain clean and organized workspace
● Participate in a safe work environment
● Maintains testing lab equipment and assists in the regulatory and certification processes.
● Designs and builds prototypes of planned product or equipment.
● Assists in the construction of said products and equipment.
● Writes up reports of daily laboratory activity.
● Reads and interprets documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operations, and procedure manuals.
● Writes routine reports and correspondence.
● Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature
● Conducts research, collects data and writes daily reports
● Running tests, calibrations and diagnostics
Pays close attention to detail and strong organizational skills
● Ability to collaborate and exhibit professionalism in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work with a team and work overtime when required
Conducting experiments and investigations under the supervision of Engineers
```Experience```
● HS/GED is the minimum education required for this position
● College degree in engineering, engineering technology, design technology, or a related field is preferred
● 2+ years relevant education or experience as a hands on technician, engineering, engineering technology, design technology, or a related field
● Customer service and time management skills
● Safety protocol experience and an ability to work with safety in mind
