Position Summary
Sharing our story with the public takes clear and captivating communication. It’s Public Affairs’ job to promote the Air Force’s mission through building relationships with the community and managing media. These Airmen develop graphics and scripts, serve as announcers on camera and document missions to make sure they’re accurately recorded and portrayed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct community engagement activities.
- Establish relationships with local and regional news media.
- Produce news and informative products to support mission requirements.
- Supervise broadcast radio and television programming.

Qualifications
This is an active-duty position as an Air Force Reserve officer. To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma, GED with 15 college credits or GED
- General ASVAB requirements
- Knowledge of basic communication theory
- Favorable evaluation of a voice audition and English diagnostic
- Absence of any speech impediment and ability to read aloud and speak distinctly
- Possession of a valid state driver’s license to operate government motor vehicles
- Normal color vision
- Completion of a current National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks and Credit
- Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 39
