We are seeking a full-time Safety & Industrial Hygienist Coordinator to join our team in Channelview, TX. Salary $110,000- $120,0000 based on experience.
POSITION OBJECTIVES
This position requires the employee to be able to conduct workplace safety and health audits at Reagent Chemical facilities located throughout the United States in order to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The employee will also help administer and coordinate the industrial hygiene sampling, respiratory protection and first aid programs for all Reagent Chemical sites. The employee will oversee the compliance and safety inspections at the Texas Locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Oversight and maintenance of the industrial hygiene program
- Conduct workplace compliance audits, to include travel, reporting and follow-up activities
- Coordination and tracking of respiratory protection program
- Distribution, inspection and tracking of all AED units and related equipment
- Complete and coordinate the Texas office Stormwater compliance and safety inspections.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
- College Degree in Safety or Industrial Hygiene.
- Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist preferred
- Hazardous chemical knowledge
- Workplace Safety Regulations Knowledge
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
- Prior experience with hazardous chemicals
- Industrial Hygiene Experience
- Prior experience and use of personal protective equipment
- Experience dealing with State Agencies.
REQUIRED ABILITIES
- Employee is expected to have the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
- Employee is expected to be able to walk, climb and transverse all production areas within Reagent Chemical.
- Employee is expected to be able to produce audit reports detailing findings of site visits.
- Employee is expected to be proficient and utilize Microsoft Office programs.
- Employee is expected to travel to Reagent Chemical sites about 25% of time.
