The Senior Director of Residential Services oversees the quality improvement, operational and management functions of all departments of the residential program and is the direct supervisor of all program leadership staff. The Senior Director of Residential Services works collaboratively with other senior and executive leadership to engage in strategic planning, quality management and oversight, regulatory compliance, and program development practices. A compassionate, solutions-focused and trauma-informed approach that is supportive of teamwork at both the senior leadership and programmatic levels is required.

Essential Position Functions
1. Provides programmatic and administrative leadership, oversight of the supervision of all staff to ensure that all program operations comply with ethical, contractual, regulatory, and Agency standards, goals, policies and procedures.
2. Manages the residential operations budget within approved fiscal parameters.
3. Responsible for the oversight of the recruitment, training, and evaluation of all residential program staff. Oversees personnel action related to promotions, discipline, terminations, and other matters across residential programs in collaboration with the CEO and VP of Human Resources.
4. Responsible for program development and practices including: planning; program design; utilization management; quality implementation of evidence-based practices; systems development, oversight and management; policies and procedures development and/or updating; community relations; and liaison with funding, referral, licensing and accreditation agencies.
5. Actively participates in the Agency's senior leadership team, fosters positive and solutions-focused relationships, demonstrates strong teambuilding and leadership skills (able to shift leadership style as appropriate). Provides liaison/interface with other departments and programs as appropriate. Represents the residential program's needs to supervisor.
6. Provides administrative on-call coverage and crisis intervention services, including but not limited to debriefing (as defined in the 6 Core Strategies).
7. Professionally and positively represents the residential programs and the Agency to outside parties including DMH, EEC, Joint Commission, and others as directed by supervisor.
8. Adheres to Cutchins Programs for Children and Families Rules, Standards, and Ethics Policy.
9. Actively participates in and promotes Agency fundraising and staff appreciation events, as part of the leadership team.
10. Collaborates with the Senior Director of Compliance and Operations regarding investigations, audits and working with consultants and auditors. Leads and actively participates in audits and investigative meetings.
11. Compiles, organizes and maintains compliance and quality management documentation for residential program and works in collaboration with the Senior Director of Compliance, to address compliance and operations-related needs and goals. Reports results to relevant parties in a timely manner.
12. Write and/or annually updates standard operating procedures (SOP’s)/policies, work instructions, policies and procedures in collaboration with the Senior Director of Compliance and Operations and in alignment with state regulations, contractual obligations, and local and state health requirements.
13. Co-leads and maintains documentation related to all safety and environment of care meetings, audits, and practices in collaboration with the Senior Director of Compliance and Operations. Leads and reports on the Agency’s environmental inspection rounds to the CEO.
14. Oversees that all safety and protective practices and equipment is up to date, in stock and accessible.
15. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Degree and Experience: Master's degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Social Work or other health care related field is strongly preferred. Clinical license preferred (LMHC, LICSW). A minimum of 5-10 years in a progressively responsible compliance, regulatory, or policy related management and leadership experience required. Minimum of 3-5 years of second level supervision is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of State, Federal and other governmental regulations and industry standards and requirements is necessary. Experience with strategic planning, operational, financial, quality assurance, utilization management, and human resource procedures and regulations is required. Strong team building, organizational and interpersonal skills is required.Conflict resolution, negotiation, and delegation skills, as well as strong deductive reasoning and problem solving skills are required. Demonstrated ability to conduct internal investigations, design and implement corrective action plans required. Strong written and verbal communication skills is required. Basic proficiency in PC software applications such as Excel, Work, PowerPoint and Access is required. Enjoyment of a fast-paced work environment, a willingness to take on challenges with a high degree of integrity is required.
Physical Requirements: Visual acuity to written and computer screen data, manual coordination and dexterity in the operation of office equipment. The physical ability to use the computer, lift up to 50 lbs., and engage in nonviolent crisis intervention techniques as needed.
Other Requirements: Valid MA driver's license is required. Reliable transportation is required.
