DNV's Energy Systems North America Region is seeking a Pipeline Hydraulics Engineer to work in the Hydraulics & Flow Assurance team of the Advisory Services Department in the Service Area for Midstream/Downstream & Labs. This team of engineering consultants specializes in hydraulic and flow assurance modeling including: Single phase steady state and transient hydraulics analysis and, to a lesser extent, multiphase thermal and hydraulic steady state and transient analysis.
In the Engineer role you will be responsible for initiating, developing, and completing engineering consulting studies for DNV clients using Synergi Gas and Synergi Liquid among other tools. In addition, you will be exposed to the innovative work the team is doing with hydrogen and carbon capture projects. This position reports to the Head of Section in Hydraulics & Flow Assurance.
Ideally, this position will be based in our office in Houston, TX however our DNV offices in other locations in the United States may be considered.
What You ll Do
- Carry out engineering consulting studies using software packages, e.g., Synergi Gas, SPS, Synergi Liquid, HYSYS, etc.
- Model pipeline systems and associated facilities from upstream, midstream to downstream
- Compile data received from clients and determine the appropriate methodologies and calculations to solve issue at hand
- Engage in hydrogen projects where you will challenge concepts and ideas for hydrogen transportation, production, and end-use
- Document analyses, processes, and procedures in a technical format to clearly deliver results and impact of those results to client
- Engage with a group of engineers and consultants, reviewing, and verifying each other's work
- Interact with colleagues and clients in a manner that is professional
- Advance team and industry thought leadership
- Attend Technical Seminars to increase understanding of the pipeline industry, learn new technologies, and engage in networking opportunities
- Carry out regulatory complince reviews of client assets and facilities
- Assist business development activities with existing projects and customers

What is Required
- Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or Civil subject) from an accredited University
