Position Title: 2nd Shift (2pm - 10am) Corrugator Supervisor
Position Overview: Supervise the daily routine of producing quality boards in a safe, productive manner with minimum waste. Assist with the cross-training of assigned employees in key positions.
Position Responsibilities:

Maintain safety, quality, efficiencies, and production levels set by management.

Communicate these standards to your staff.

Assist in performing and determining all quality guidelines.

Report quality concerns to the Quality Manager and upper management.

Arrive at work 30-45 minutes prior to the start of the scheduled shift and conduct pre-shift meetings with staff.

Establish high morale within your department by showing fairness, consistency, and an interest in employee problems.

Must adhere to and maintain all employee confidentiality.

Maintain starch station/wastewater treatment center and related supplies.
-
Maintain roll stock warehouse and corrugator supplies.
-
Coordinate with your Superintendent and Maintenance Department on any repairs or preventive maintenance done in the department.

Keep Sr. Management informed of problems or situations that may affect the performance of your department.

Enforce the corrective action procedures when applicable and confidentially conduct meetings with the violating employees.

Conduct daily Production/Safety meetings with departmental personnel.

Effectively communicate with all production supervisors to avoid problems between shift changes.

Improve career skills by enrolling yourself in seminars, technical courses, and related college courses.

Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures, including safety programs and good housekeeping (GMP).

Maintain and adhere to all Wage and Hour protocols with all assigned hourly staff.

What We’re Looking For:
Minimum Qualifications:
-
High school graduate or combination of post-secondary education and experience.
-
3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in the corrugated industry highly preferred/or training; equivalent.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)

Must be available to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization, including dealing with customers, vendors, and co-workers.

Effective communicator and problem solver.

Ability to work independently and as a team player.

Ability to write and respond to routine e-mails and correspondence.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree desirable

Bi-lingual (Spanish)

5-10 years of Industry knowledge.
