Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our ICU team. As an ICU Nurse, you will provide critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions. Your expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in monitoring and managing patients' conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' conditions and implement appropriate nursing interventions
- Monitor vital signs and detect any changes or abnormalities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in critical care nursing practices
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of TEXAS or compact license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting
- Proficient in ambulatory surgery center (ASC) operations and protocols
- Familiarity with assisted living facilities and their unique patient care needs
- Experience working with electronic medical record systems, preferably Epic
- Strong venipuncture skills for blood draws and IV therapy administration
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding system for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Ability to quickly assess patient conditions and respond effectively in emergency situations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care while ensuring patient safety
