Voyage Healthcare is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to join our Medical Support Staff Department. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing professional, compassionate, courteous, and efficient nursing care to meet the needs of the clinic patients. This includes collecting data for patient needs and relaying them to providers to ensure that the clinic functions effectively.
We have opportunities available at our Crystal, Osseo and Plymouth locations. Shift options: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 4 days per week or 8:20 AM - 5:00 PM, 5 days per week.
$1,500 SIGN-ON BONUS: When hired as an CMA, you are eligible for a $1,500 tiered Sign-On Bonus! Bonuses will be paid in three installments. All signing bonuses will be treated as regular income and subject to all applicable taxes.
Responsibilities:
- Rooming patients, record vital signs, and assisting in the float station
- Administering injections, phlebotomy draws and performing EKGs
- Communicate with patients and patient’s family to provide advice, patient education forms and ensure completion of appropriate patient forms
- Document in the electronic health record (eClinicalWorks)
- Maintains supplies, equipment, stocks and sterilizes instruments
- Complies with procedures and policies to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with OSHA standards
- Travel to other clinic locations as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Current Medical Assistant certification by AAMA/AMT or RMA credential required
- CPR Certification, required within one month of employment
- Reliable and motivated team player who wants to make a difference in the lives of our patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain positive relationships with a variety of patients, staff, and physicians
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks
