Role: Senior Project Engineer
Location: Pasadena, CA (Relocation Provided)

Position Purpose:
· Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction of building structures and facilities.
· Essential Job Functions:

Duties and Responsibilities:
· The Senior Project Engineer must do the following:
· Manage projects and engineering teams to complete projects on time.
· Actively participate in development of in-house standards.
· Supervise staff, including establishing and communicating performance expectations, providing positive and constructive feedback, and
· conducting on-the-job training of subordinates.
· Review design calculations and details to assure compliance with plans and specifications.
· Inspect project sites to monitor progress, ensure conformance to design specifications, identify environmental risks, identify engineering
· problems and assess potential project impact.
· Compute load and grade requirements or material stress factors to determine design specifications.
· Provide technical advice to industrial or managerial personnel regarding design, construction, or program modifications or structural repairs.
· Direct engineering activities ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations.
· Read Architectural Structural drawings along with Mechanical, Electrical and Civil drawings to design steel baseplates, columns, beams,
· steel connections with simple bolts, welds, metal decks, steel Seismic/Earthquake resisting systems liked Eccentric braced Frames,
· Concentric Braced Frames, Moment Resisting Frames, concrete flat plate slabs, masonry columns, shear walls, wood columns, beams,
· deck and Seismic/Earthquake resisting elements.
· Use computer design and analysis programs including RamStructural, Ram concept, ETABS, SAFE, Mathcad, spColumn.
· Check concrete mix designs, steel shop and erection drawings, crane and elevator shop drawings etc.
· Prepare simple sections and orthographic details for drafting.
· Review material test reports and soil reports to identify design criteria.
· Support and perform field services including answering Requests for Information (RFI’s), providing field sketches and approving Shop
· Drawings.
Education/Experience:
· Masters’ Degree in Structural Engineering or similar field.
· 10+ years of related experience.
· California Professional Engineer License; California Structural Engineer License preferred.

· composition, and grammar.
· Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation,
· human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
· Law and Government - Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency
· rules, and the democratic political process.
· Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes
· customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
· Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and
· software, including applications and programming.
Work Environment:
· Most job duties are performed in the Business office.
· Body positioning consist of sitting for long hours.
· Communication requires telephone conversations, electronic mail, writing letters and memos ,and face-to-face discussions.
· Requires being exact or highly accurate. Work setting requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions and working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions.
· Environment include exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
