Position Summary:
Dispatcher must be able to act as a central communication point of contact for the Signal Memphis location, responsible for receiving incoming calls/texts/emails from patrol officers and clients on behalf of your Signal Team. Dispatching the necessary services to the address or location as needed, along with constant, clear, communication is key. This individual will also assist the local operations to ensure client reports meet our reporting standards. This position requires the individual to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency situations. The dispatcher must have excellent oral and written communication skills and proficient in using computer based or web based software applications and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information. Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance.
- Effective engagement, communication, planning and execution of daily operational logistics between officers, sites and customers.
- Communicate with Clients, team members and management effectively and in a timely manner, receiving and relaying feedback and executing follow-up as needed.
- Use radio, phone or computer to send crews, vehicles or other field units to appropriate locations.
- Enter data in the computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information.
- Will write detailed and accurate reports utilizing company technology and web or app-based software during each shift.
- The Ability to consistently arrive on time for shifts, clock in and out, meet time commitments, follow instruction, follow dress code and appearance standards and expectations.
- Interacting with internal and external customers on site cultivating a customer service relationship while striving to provide peace of mind.
- Consistently communicates with Operations Coordinator, Supervisor or the Director of Operations to promptly report any customer or property related information and concerns.
- Responsible for the care of any Signal equipment assigned during shift including radios, access keys/cards, vehicles, and devices, etc.
- Consistently deescalate issues through communication in a professional and prompt manner.
- Manage daily activities while meeting key benchmarks and expectations set by the Director of Operations such as reporting standards and service quality.
- Communicate with the Operations Coordinator or Director of Operations to receive and disseminate information through daily briefings, such as the client needs and post order changes to ensure operational excellence and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Must be confident and comfortable with verbal de escalation.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to multi-task and take the appropriate action with little supervision.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proficient in English (oral and written).
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Must be willing to work evenings, overnights with some weekends and holidays
- Hands on experience working in stressful, emergency situations
- Demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times.
- Complete training modules within first month.
- Must have reliable transportation.
