Position Summary
The Executive Chef will Supervise the kitchen staff in production, preparation and presentation of food for the hotel in a safe, sanitary work environment which conforms to all standards and regulations and achieves profitable, competitive, quality products. They will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen and related areas and will ensure all essential functions are adhered to all company SOP’s and future food programs to ensure a consistent, quality product.

· Establish the days priorities and assign production and preparation task according to direction provided by the Executive Chef.
· Resolve problems and provide open communication to kitchen staff and front of house staff.
· Review daily menu specials and provide feed back to F&B Manager.
· Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to other staff members.
- Take physical inventory of specified food items for daily inventory.
· Ensure that each kitchen work area is stocked with specific supplies and equipment.
· Ensure that all staff prepares menu items following recipes according to department standards.
· Monitor performance of staff and ensure all procedures are completed to the department standard and rectify personnel to correct any deficiencies.
· Ensure that quality and details are being maintained.
· Ensure that excess items are being utilized efficiently.
· Comply with Sanitation procedures and Food Safety, with a strong focus towards maintaining Food Cost and to collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development.
· Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
