ABOUT THE ROLE
The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and implementing effective financial controls. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in accounting and finance, who can provide insightful analysis and contribute to the company's financial planning and decision-making processes. 321 is in search of a team member that is familiar with and understands the nuisances of a digital marketing agency environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Financial Reporting & Invoicing
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Work closely with the Account Management team to ensure proper invoicing of clients and reporting of profitability.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Clearly and concisely communicate the financial health of the agency to leadership and ownership
- Cash Flow, Budgeting and Forecasting
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process.
- Prepare financial forecasts and variance analysis.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business strategy.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Monitor cash flow and manage liquidity to ensure the company's financial stability.
- Financial Analysis and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and risks to enhance financial performance.
WHAT YOU HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance
- Proficient in financial software (QuickBooks) and payroll systems (Paychex)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication with an ability to be a creative problem solver
REPORTING STRUCTURE: This position reports directly to the CEO.
