Mammography Technologist
Full Time – Monday through Friday, Days
$15,000 sign on bonus for Mammo Techs!
$10,000 for Student Loan Repayments
As a Mammo Tech at Oro Valley Hospital, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Requirements:
- Requires completion of a formal radiologic technology training program in an A.M.A. approved school, is certified in Diagnostic Mammography
- Certification with the ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with advanced training in Mammography; Licenses (CRT & CMT) from the State of AZ Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE) Student Mammography license is acceptable in lieu of CMT; CMT must be obtained within 6 months of hire date into the position
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS certification.
- 1 year of experience as a Mammography Tech
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
About the Job:
- Operates X-ray equipment and performs various mammography related procedures.
- Develops and evaluates the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion.
- Explains procedures and educates women about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health. Responsibilities also include preparing and maintaining records and files, and cleaning and adjusting equipment as needed. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager.
