CEM Corporation (Matthews, NC) is seeking a highly self-motivated individual for a Supply Chain Analyst position. The Supply Chain Analyst will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain operations by leveraging data analysis, forecasting techniques, and strategic insights. This position works closely with various stakeholders across the organization to ensure efficient procurement, inventory management, and distribution processes. The associate’s analytical skills will drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function.
*Key Responsibilities:*
Data Analysis and Reporting:
* Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to inventory levels, demand forecasts, supplier performance, transportation costs, and other relevant metrics.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Demand Forecasting and Planning:
* Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to develop accurate demand forecasts for products or components.
* Utilize statistical models, historical data, and market trends to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely availability of materials or finished goods.
Procurement Optimization:
* Support procurement activities by identifying cost-saving opportunities, analyzing supplier performance, and negotiating contracts (if applicable).
* Evaluate supplier capabilities, lead times, and risks to optimize the sourcing strategy and maintain a reliable supply chain network.
Inventory Management:
* Monitor inventory levels across multiple locations and analyze inventory turnover, carrying costs, and stockouts.
* Develop inventory replenishment strategies, safety stock policies, and SKU rationalization initiatives to minimize excess inventory and improve working capital efficiency.
* Facilitate obsolescence reviews, cycle count variance analysis, non-conforming product controls, and backorder analysis.
Logistics and Distribution:
* Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize transportation routes, reduce freight costs, and enhance delivery performance.
* Identify opportunities to streamline distribution processes, warehouse operations, and order fulfillment workflows. Advance new product transition controls and ECO implementation strategies.
Continuous Improvement:
* Identify process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation or optimization within the supply chain.
* Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving supply chain processes, reducing costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Research, Inventory Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.
* Proven experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, procurement, or related roles.
* Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, as Excel, SQL, MS Power BI, and MS Access.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.
* Knowledge of supply chain management principles, forecasting methodologies, and inventory optimization techniques.
