Position Purpose
As a member of the Leadership Team, develops a plan to drive the Financial Strategic Agenda within the Figures, structure, accounts and investments for the Restaurants that we operate. Accountable for delivering the short- and long-term results and profit results-through people development and improved internal control restaurant procedures. Provides leadership, coaching and strategic direction to their entire team. Collaborates with the President within investments, marketplace to build budgets and figures, market share and profitability. Consistently demonstrates US GAAP knowledge, Internal Controls, Investments in Companies, Treasury, Audit Procedures and EYM Group, Inc. values and leadership behaviors to build positive business relationships with key customers including Suppliers, Customers and Office Staff.
Principal Accountabilities
In addition to following EYM Group Inc., Financial skills, Internal control, policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
People
- Champions the EYM Group, Inc. - Establishes individual performance targets for direct reports. Ensures that the performance planning and assessment process is followed for all employees.
- Completes the Development process with direct reports. Ensures that process is followed for all management employees within EYM Group Inc.
- Mentors/sponsors high potential individuals, with emphasis on meeting staffing needs and diversity targets.
- Leads the succession planning process and participates in performance calibration and talent review.
- Ensures that people practices are followed (e.g., quality hiring, management targeted selection, commitment survey, shift certification, HR policies, labor laws, security and safety procedures).
Finance
- Proactively assesses risk to brand (e.g., special sites, labor issues, tax issues) and develops a plan to mitigate the risk
- Maintains Bank relationships, works new financing and covenant reporting
- Responsible for the management, direction and control of the areas of Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Financial Planning, IT, Accounts Receivable, Internal Audit, Accounts Payable, Payroll and update internal control policies of the operational areas, management of financial assets of companies in the group
- Responsible for the results of external audits
- Responsible for the strategic development of the area of Finance as support and general management support and all areas of the Group Companies.
- Issue reports to the Brands Corporate Offices
- Control of investments
- Management of inventory levels
- Responsible for the business relationship and obtaining credit from suppliers of such customers
- Timely submission of financial reporting in U.S. GAAP and SOX guidelines.
- Achieve the Company financially to move the working capital in excellent form.
- Achieve sustained without legal or tax contingency
- Avoid charges for doubtful accounts.
- Managed the company's cashflows
- Achieve and timely comply with the submission of the Financial Reporting under U.S. GAAP and SOX guidelines
- Gaining control of operating costs and negotiations with suppliers below inflation
- Control policies, manages to reduce operating expenses and administrative reductions
- Compliance date and manner of delivery thereof (deadlines set by the Management)
- Achieve implement internal controls to safeguard assets and correct operation of the Restaurants
Business Results
- Collaborates with the President to develop the annual business plan for the market. Sets Profit Center targets.
- Accountable for achieving all established business plan targets (sales, investments, costs, expenses, profit, and income growth).
- Supervision all information resources available (Financial Statements, Restaurant data, Operations Report, P&L, G&A) to identify opportunities and threats to delivering business results and adjusts business plan tactics accordingly.
- Accountable for creating a positive work environment to accomplish business results (increased profit, control expenses, and outstanding financial skills).
- Provides guidance and reviews with President on all reinvestment plans on an annual basis to include opening, finance, purchasing restaurants, re-models, equipment purchases, etc.
Experience and Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting related area to financial management
- 8+ years of financial experience
- 6 years People Development experience
- 4 years’ experience in Big Accounting Firms (Audit Manager preferably)
- Financial knowledge industrial food and fast food & formal Restaurant
- Strong internal control knowledge (industrial food and fast food & formal Restaurant preferably)
- Strong communications and diplomacy skills with suppliers and customers
- Knowledge in U.S. GAAP
- Experience in the financial markets of North America working with banks on Loans
- Skills implementing internal controls to detect and avoid losses
- Experience implementation of ERP
- Price positive negotiations with suppliers
- Expert Excel skills
