The Assistant Service Manager will…
- Assist in the oversight of all shop related customer jobs and service projects.
- Setup new material handling equipment for delivery. (Forklifts, etc.)
- Work with Technicians/staff to ensure a clean and safe working environment
- Ensure technicians provide proper documentation, records and reports.
- Track work order status and completion as well as help set up PM schedules and service calls.
- Work closely with sales, parts, rentals, inventory, warranty etc.
- Prepare quotes and proposals for sales and service teams.
- Assist technicians with training, troubleshooting, problem solving and communication
- Perform other job related duties as needed.
Qualified Candidates should…
- Live in the Greater Birmingham area. (or close proximity)
- Have 10 years of relevant work experience. – OR –
- 10 year mix of advanced education + relevant work experience.
- Be well versed in mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic equipment.
- Have a minimum of 2 years in a supervisor or management position.
- Be proactive and self-motivated.
