The Pizza Taproom is a beloved pizza restaurant in La Jolla, CA, known for our delicious pizzas and warm, welcoming atmosphere. We pride ourselves on using fresh ingredients and providing excellent service to our customers. We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
**Responsibilities:**
**Dishwashing:**
- Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Ensure the dishwashing area is clean and organized.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area.
- Empty trash and keep the dishwashing area free from debris.
**Prep Cooking:**
- Assist with the preparation of ingredients for menu items, including washing, chopping, and storing vegetables, meats, and other ingredients.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist in assembling salads, appetizers, and other simple dishes as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized prep area.
**General:**
- Support kitchen staff as needed with other tasks.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Work as part of a team to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
