We are currently seeking an experienced Card Services Product Manager for a credit union located in Gardena, CA!
Type: Full-time, in-office, temp-to-hire
Pay: $81,483-110,000 per year
Branch hours: Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm or a shift close to that
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead CU's Debit/Credit Card strategy, including program management and service oversight.
- Craft a comprehensive product strategy aimed at optimizing the cardholder experience, with a focus on innovation and member impact.
- Lead a dynamic team, fostering motivation and excellence to deliver exceptional member experiences.
- Drive the development, enhancement, and implementation of card products and programs, ensuring profitability and growth through effective features, benefits, and pricing strategies.
- Develop and execute robust marketing plans to drive growth and achieve business targets, collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand needs and offer tailored solutions.
- Oversee all aspects of card operations, from processing to inventory management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and CU policies.
- Monitor portfolio performance metrics and industry trends, proactively adjusting strategies to stay competitive and mitigate risks.
- Implement fraud prevention measures and monitor cardholder activity to safeguard against potential threats.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate marketing campaigns to promote card products and drive acquisition and retention efforts.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through staff training and development initiatives, ensuring team readiness to adapt to evolving industry dynamics and regulatory changes.
Requirements:
- 3 years of card services management experience preferably
- Bachelors Degree and/or completion of a CU management program or equivalent experience
- Strong management, leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to effectively develop, challenge, and motivate staff
- Advanced compliance/regulatory knowledge of debit and credit card products
- Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills
- Strong PC skills and excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
- A superior level of member service skills, be a positive role model for staff, and demonstrate a high level of commitment to the organizational goals
