Summary
This position as a forester with Old Northwest Timber & Habitat provides a very exciting opportunity to use forestry to make a positive mark on the landscape, while learning and utilizing an entire tool-set that is uncommon to most jobs in forestry! Use your skills for everything from setting up timber sales and writing forestry plans, to managing wildlife habitat and actually having a part in implementing the plans on the landscape!
Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position are diverse. Every day holds something new!
- Timber marking & timber sale set-up/management
- Forestry & habitat consulting/plan writing
- Equipment/Chainsaw operating
- Herbicide application
- *There is an option to do some social media management/basic videography!
Position Skills & Qualifications
Quality candidate must have:
- Bachelor's degree in forestry
- Good organizational skills
- Motivation/ability to self-start
- Passion for the outdoors and all of our natural resources
- Little to no experience needed, but must be hungry to learn!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
