Job Summary:
Medix Infusion is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant for an infusion therapy facility, you will be responsible for managing comprehensive accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining the financial integrity of the organization.
Medix Infusion provides personalized home and in-suite infusion therapy services for patients with chronic or acute conditions. Our dedicated team ensures each patient’s journey is as smooth as possible. We offer medical infusion therapies, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectable and infusion treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Prepare and record assets, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
- Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
- Complete external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
- Comply with legal requirements to avoid legal challenges.
- Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with a variety of projects and stakeholders.
- Proficient in Excel and other relevant software.
- Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex and confidential accounting and financial tasks.
- Strong capacity to learn new software, as needed.
- Must be able to perform all job functions with or without accommodations.
