Job brief
We are looking for experienced and qualified bar tenders and managers to maximize the bar beverage experience and profitability. You will be the first in command in the bar and will help curate and manage the bar program.
We are on the hunt for bar staff that has always wanted to be let loose and have the opportunity to be creative and showcase their talents on the bar menu!
The goals are, in addition to making delicious drinks, is to create a welcoming, fun atmosphere not only for patrons but employees as well.
We are looking for individuals that want to be a part of the baddest bar in town where everyone is smiling and laughing and there is tons of energy in the room!
Responsibilities
- Control and direct the beverage preparation process and any other relative activities.
- Construct an ever evolving bar menu with trendy, seasonal offerings.
- Approve and “polish” drink presentation before they reach the customer.
- Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages.
- Arrange for repairs when necessary
- Remedy any problems or defects
- Be fully in charge of hiring, managing and training bar staff.
- Oversee the work of subordinates
- Estimate staff’s workload and compensations
- Maintain records of payroll and attendance
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-oworkers
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as bar manager/bar tender
- Exceptional proven ability of bar management.
- Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
- Up-to-date with beverage trends and optimized bar processes.
- Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- Credentials in health and safety training
