Monitoring and distributing open dining sections of the restaurant among servers, per manager instructions
Understanding and utilization of table and seat numbers
Communicating with staff as tables are sat or servers are cut
Ensuring a timely and friendly greeting to all guests, opening the door when possible
Making each guest feel welcomed and valued
Engaging in conversation while walking to the table at a reasonable pace, leading no more than 5 feet
Managing waiting list and accurate seating in a high-volume setting while ensuring guests needs are satisfied while waiting
Understanding and utilizing Open Table System
Preparation for large parties
Ensuring tables are ready for guests by clearing, cleaning, and resetting as needed
Thanking the guests and inviting them back as they leave
Full knowledge of menu items and retail items
Taking and cashing out To-Go and Delivery orders
Understanding and utilizing all delivery services offered (GrubHub, Uber Eats, DoorDash)
Assisting in To-Go and Delivery order placement and delivery when needed
Understanding and utilization of POS functions
Ability to maintain an accurate bank
Answering the telephone quickly and in an upbeat manner and assisting guests/taking inquires as needed
Maintaining supplies such as crayons, mints, business cards, etc.
Inspecting and ensuring bathrooms are clean and stocked
Deep cleaning tasks
Maintaining clean menus, waiting area, windows, doors, and floor throughout shift along with clean and organized host stand
Updating daily special board
Fully understanding how to prioritize yourself, maintain the dining room, safety and sanitation, and company policies, and the basic steps of service.
Assisting server assistants as needed
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
Uniforms will be provided and must be worn according to standard, every shift.
Walking and standing for the entire shift. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning and filing tasks, for extended periods of time
Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space
Requires standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise and crowds
Must be able to work late nights, holidays, weekends.
