Seeking: Dynamic Business Development Center (BDC) Director
A very well-established automotive group consisting of top OEM brands in the New York metro area is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic BDC Director with a proven track record in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing team of BDC representatives and managers.
- Conduct call reviews and live call coaching to ensure quality and effectiveness.
- Design and implement comprehensive outreach and follow-up campaigns for sales, service, lost opportunities, and other customer segments, understanding how to set various cadences based on each segment within various CRM and digital retailing tool systems.
- Leverage specific digital retailing tools like GubbaGoo and Roadster as part of BDC strategies.
- Demonstrate, coach, and teach reps to set appointments and, when appropriate, close deals.
- Teach reps to engage in active listening, asking probing, open-ended questions to quickly secure appointment or sale commitments.
- Teach reps to quickly build rapport and project their personality over the phone, ensuring they are heard clearly and effectively.
- Develop, implement, and train on effective talk tracks.
- Recruit new reps, retain mid- to high-performing reps, and design personalized performance improvement plans to elevate lower-performing reps.
- Manage large teams of call center reps, ideally overseeing 30 to 50 reps in one location.
- Optimally convert third-party leads from platforms like Cars.com, CarGurus, Autotrader, Carfax, Truecar, OEM leads, and JD Power and Associates leads.
- Teach the nuances of how to best convert leads from these diverse sources, with the ability to utilize third-party platforms where appropriate.
- Utilize various CRM/DMS systems (DealerSocket, VinSolutions, ELEAD, Focus Contact Manager from Reynolds, Tekion, and Dealertrack).
- Design and implement pay plans, including weekly and monthly bonus programs, to stimulate growth and strive for higher performance levels.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years as a BDC Director or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in multiple CRM/DMS systems (DealerSocket, VinSolutions, ELEAD, Focus Contact Manager from Reynolds, Tekion, and Dealertrack).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Comfortable using and integrating digital retailing tools and third-party platforms into BDC operations.
- Ability to manage both managers and reps effectively.
Compensation:
This is a very high earning potential opportunity with a lucrative compensation package consisting of a base salary and performance-based variable compensation.
