Job Summary: As an Outreach & Enrollment Specialist, you will provide application assistance and education to patients on financial assistance programs including Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid), Connect for Health Colorado (Colorado’s insurance marketplace) and other assistance programs.

Travel is required to outreach and community events to educate and enroll participants in programs as appropriate.

Must foster a culture of patient and family centered care, service, quality and safety excellence, while improving patient experience, employee experience and community relations.
Knowledge and Skills:

Basic knowledge of health insurance and health service delivery.

Proficiency using the internet and basic knowledge of MS Office, Excel

Proficiency with electronic health record systems

Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well will the public

Ability to obtain and maintain Certified Application Counselor certification, Certified Application Assistance Site (CAAS) certification, and other certifications as applicable.

Ability to use prescribed calculations to determine income eligibility.

Ability to travel for training as well as for outreach and community events. Three to four full weeks (up to five nights of each week) of overnight travel for initial training outside of Canon City to other regions in Colorado is required.

Previous medical office experience and bilingual skills are preferred.
