Job Title: Robotic Electrical Shop Technician

Job Type: Full Time, Monday- Friday. Occasional work on weekends when needed. In-person commute to 77032.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned:
· Test all electrical equipment that returns from the field
· Assist field teams to diagnose and fix electrical issues remotely
· Keep electrical work area clean and organized
· Follow sets of instructions/designs to fabricate electrical assemblies
· Follow technical guides to help integrate new products into the equipment fleet
· Communicate with Shop Manager of needs and/or challenges
· Can perform routine maintenance on vehicles, to include 1-ton diesel trucks
· Can perform routine maintenance on enclosed cargo trailer
· Can diagnose issues with road vehicles/trailers
· Assist in mechanical repairs to the ROV and robot fleet. Work, build, and repair PLCs, motor controllers, tethers, control boxes.
· General mechanical skills to help in other areas (i.e. robot maintenance) when needed
· Help develop processes & procedures regarding the use of ROV and robotic equipment
· Shows a good track record of reliability
· Ability to work independently and with others
· Can learn job-specific mechanical tasks, such as replacing pump seals
· Maintenance of all equipment utilizing small engines such as pumps and generators
· Ability to track all completed work in an asset tracking software
· Works safely in a busy, fast-paced environment
Supervisory Responsibilities
· This position has no immediate supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
· Experience - 3-5 years work experience diagnosing electrical components and maintenance preferred. ROV experience preferred.
· Computer Skills - Proficiency with and flexibility in learning computer software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows
· Education - Required: HS Diploma. 2-year degree in Mechatronics or similar discipline preferred.

· Reasoning Skills Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
