Overview:
The Sharepoint-Desktop IT Support Specialist will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, comprehensive, and diversified expert support services to the Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD) division, with a specific focus on supporting the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) mission.

Responsible for offering guidance on knowledge sharing, collaboration, and workflow support for GHSD intranet sites. Your responsibilities include configuring and customizing SharePoint systems to GHSD specifications, building scalable web applications, writing, and modifying code, and debugging software. You'll also assist with end-user training, crafting training documents, and providing guidance on SharePoint-related tasks.

Serves as the primary subject matter expert and resource for user-end SharePoint functionality, facilitating knowledge sharing, collaboration, and workflow optimization across GHSD intranet sites.

Configures and customizes SharePoint systems to meet GHSD specifications, including the development of scalable web applications, code writing and modification, and software debugging.

Assists in end-user training initiatives, including the creation of training materials and providing hands-on guidance to users for SharePoint-related tasks, fostering proficiency and productivity.

Establishes content architecture within current and new site structures, prioritizing user autonomy in content maintenance to enhance efficiency and engagement.

Designs and develops SharePoint sites, pages, libraries, lists, and workflows, aligning them with GHSD objectives and user needs to maximize effectiveness and usability.

Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Skills/Qualifications: Must be self-motivated, have strong attention to detail, good oral and written communication skills. Must be in good physical condition and can occasionally travel.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business or certifications in Information Technology appropriate to the work of the position or related fields.

Minimum of 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain MODERATE RISK PUBLIC TRUST clearance.
Physical Requirements:
