packed environment with a team of like-minded individuals? As a Senior Engineer, you will be working in a
collaborative performing engineering assignments of considerable difficulty and of a varied nature, requiring a solid
and extensive grasp of the engineering discipline. Requires frequent exercising of sound professional judgment.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Performs complex engineering design work and calculations on large and/or challenging projects, and
prepares plans, specifications, and cost estimates using CADD, LDD, MS Word, MS Excel and other software.
- Maintains and coordinates quality control at a project level for all tasks related to project delivery. Monitors
and reviews work of Engineers and Technicians.
- Performs some project management duties. Tasks may include involvement with development or
maintenance of contract scope, budget, and schedule. May manage scope and budget for specific tasks on
complex projects and be responsible for billing.
- Coordinates with Client Contact and represents the company on specific project items.
- Responsible for field verifications of existing conditions related to project plans and specifications to develop
conformity with design intent.
- Responsible for projects of moderate to average complexity. May assume lead roles in project design or
coordinate the work of specialty groups involved in a project.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 10
years’ experience equivalent to Engineer.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification, or a minimum of 15 years’ experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of CADD, LDD and other business application software programs.
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, hydrology, pipe design, earthwork, site design, roadway geometrics,
and surveying.
- Ability to work within a team setting and effectively communicate with co-workers on project needs and
requirements. May participate in the coordination of project deliverables.
- Good time management skills and good oral and written communication skills.
