A reputable distribution company with a presence in the Northeastern United States and Canada presents an opportunity for a seasoned professional in the Albany, New York region to step into the role of Branch Sales and Operations Manager.
The responsibilities encompass overseeing branch operations, fostering team engagement, and propelling maximum sales and profitability through adept merchandising, inventory control, associate accountability, and cost management.
Qualifications and Background:
The ideal candidate will exhibit:
· Proven expertise in analyzing customer, market, and competitor data to guide strategic decision-making and business planning.
· Highly valued experience in leadership roles with profit and loss responsibilities.
· Background in leading teams within a retail or wholesale environment.
· The candidate can demonstrate the ability to elevate sales within a retail setting swiftly.
· Strong communication skills with both customers and vendor partners.
· Proficient management of the branch P&L.
· Develop and execute plans to optimize sales, surpass goals, and achieve objectives.
· Collaboration with other sales channels to devise strategies for increased branch traffic.
· Strongly desired experience in working with contractors.
· Computer literacy, particularly with MS Office applications.
· Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment and actively participate.
· Above-average proficiency in a technical setting.
· Previous exposure to using sales and inventory management software.
· A High School diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Compensation Package:
Salary plus incentive compensation ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, contingent on experience and success in the role.
