Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Shift Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of The Friar Donuts food truck, supervising team members, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in maintaining the quality of our offerings and the efficiency of our service. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Supervise and support food truck team members, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Operational Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the food truck, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling.
- Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive excellent service and address any customer inquiries or complaints promptly.
- Training and Development: Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and development for existing team members.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and cleanliness.
- Scheduling: Create and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels for each shift.
- Compliance: Ensure all team members comply with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Problem Solving: Address any operational issues that arise and implement solutions to improve efficiency and service.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in the food service industry is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Food Handler’s certification is required. You can complete the course here.
- Successful completion of a background check.
