Responsibilities include the following but not limited to:
Greet and prepare patients for the healthcare provider by following established standards and procedures
Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to: height, weight, blood pressure temperature, pulse, respiration, drug allergies, current medications and reason for visit
Prepare patients for diagnostic testing and ensure testing has been completed according to clinic guidelines
May be required to draw and collect blood and other patient samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical
Set up equipment needed for specialized procedures and assist the physician as needed
Referrals & scheduling outside facility procedures and insure results are received in a timely manner
Call/escribe prescription refills upon authorization of physician, notify patient if a follow up in the office is needed
Address all voicemails in a timely manner, typically within 24 hours

Required Training and Certifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Completion from an accredited medical assisting program
Current CPR certification
