We are looking for a detail-oriented Kits Assembler and Shipping Specialist candidate who possesses strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to problem-solve and can function effectively as part of a team as well as being able to work independently.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Build expert, dynamic knowledge of the company’s products and services.
· Prepare and assemble multiple components for kits assembly.
· Assemble test kits to be sent to customers.
· Open, sort, unload, receive, and organize test kit shipments and components upon arrival.
· Assist in inventory count to assess components and communicate with manager on any inventory issues or shortages.
· Manage the shipment process from start to finish, including preparing shipping documents, labels, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately for all shipments.
· Pack items for shipment to prevent damage during transit and with proper shipping labels and documentation.
· Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools.
· Ship packages via various shipping methods, assess proper shipping methods as outlined with company procedures.
· Record all shipping tracking information into our Laboratories Information System
· Arrange pickups or drop-offs with carriers or freight forwarders, scheduling deliveries, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
· Occasionally respond to incoming calls, emails and other messages from customers and vendors on inquiries and provide appropriate and accurate answers and directions.
· Qualifications:
· 1-2 years’ experience in Shipping, Logistics, or a similar role.
· Operational Knowledge of experience with Microsoft applications (outlook, word, excel, etc.)
· Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
· Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing.
· Ability to coordinate with other departments on client-related matters.
· Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
· Ability to focus with exceptional attention to detail.
