Job Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Tooling Technician to join our team. As a Tooling Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to specialized tools to repair, design, fix tooling and machines throughout the facility. Trouble shoot and provide technical recommendations to management. Verify tools meet all safety and quality recommendations. Read and interpret blueprints and design schematics. Preventative maintenance, hi-lo operation and reporting are also key parts of this position. opportunity for someone with strong technical skills and a passion for problem-solving.
Available Work hours
(1) First Shift 4:00am to 2:30pm (10) hours per day / 4 days a week
(1) Second Shift 3:00 pm to 1:30am (10) hours per day/4 days per week.
(1) Third shift 10:00pm to 6:00am (8) hours per day/ 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- Have vast knowledge and understanding of specialized tools.
- Able to trouble shoot and give recommendations.
- Follow safety protocol.
- Read and interpret blueprints and design schematics.
- Basic computer experience
- Toolmaking experience
- Inspect manufactured goods for defects, quality, proper material and correct size and specifications.
- Housekeeping while in between quality checks
- Production reporting
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Clearly read, speak, and write the English language
Education & Experience
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Journeyman card (highly preferred)
- Hi-Lo Certification preferred, will be trained, and certified on the hi-lo.
- (5) years of experience in tool and die in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
- Must have reliable transportation.
