RESPONSIBILITIES: The Mental Health Therapist participates as a member of an interdisciplinary team demonstrating a working knowledge of best practice model in delivering full range of mental health services to participants and their families. Delivers clinical services following protocol outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual and adheres to all ethical and statutory obligations mandated by professional license.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
1) Conduct individual and family counseling.
2) Conduct and observe ancillary groups as assigned.
3) Conduct Mental Health Evaluations (MHE) and Substance Use Disorder Evaluations (SUDE) as assigned.
4) Document treatment needs develop an individualized treatment plan for each client.
5) Complete documentation and required program reports as needed. Assure all records meet state and COA standards.
6) Provide service in a manner that is consistent with program philosophy and Code of Ethics. Model these behaviors always to participants and staff.
7) Attend weekly staff meetings, staff training, and in-service training.
8) Participate in training and supervision of clinical terms.
10) Perform various other functions as may be assigned by the Program Supervisor or New Day, Inc. administration.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position provides mental health and chemical dependency treatment in consultation with others, including outpatient programs.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Master level therapist possessing current Montana license as an LCPC or LCSW or be licensed eligible. Must have experience and proficiency in working with adolescents and their families. Familiarity with word processing and computer concepts. Ability to perform managerial and training functions efficiently and within established time frames. Able to maintain high degree of confidentiality and exhibit diplomacy and tact.
