There early morning shifts available from 6:30am-8:30am, evening shifts from 6-8 hours long, starting at 2:30pm and every other weekend available from 6-14 hours long.
Responsibilities:
- Provide home care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group living environment
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and independence
- Support individuals in maintaining their rights and dignity
- Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs and preferences
- Administer medications as prescribed and document accordingly
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing
- Accompany individuals to appointments, outings, and social activities
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor
Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma/GED
-Must be able to clear a criminal background study.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of resident rights and person-centered care principles
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals using proper body mechanics and assistive devices if necessary, dependent on assigned house.
- First aid and CPR certification preferred but will train.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
-Basic skills with using a computer.
