NOW HIRING: Jewelry Sales Associate
The King’s Jewelers is a 109-year-old, family-owned, retail jewelry store located in Walnut Creek, CA. We have a loyal clientele base that comes back decade after decade due to our integrity and service, and our new clientele grows daily through referrals, an excellent online reputation, and visits to our beautiful new store on Main Street!
We are seeking an experienced jewelry sales and customer service professional to join our team! An ideal candidate will hit the ground running with a positive attitude, an eagerness for and love of jewelry, and the flexibility to learn new things. They should be confident in the sale of luxury goods (particularly jewelry), enthusiastic about their own presentation and demeanor, and a self-starter. They should also be dedicated to developing and maintaining relationships with their clients. Our team works closely with one another each day, so being a team player is a must!
BASIC INFO:
- Full-time position
- Hours are Tues to Fri, 9:00 am – 6:15pm and Sat 8:45am – 4:30pm. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays!
- Salary is an hourly base (commensurate with experience) plus commission based on sales. Anticipated total earnings are $55k to $75k+, with more opportunities as sales and client base continue to grow.

LOCATION: 1655 N. Main Street, Suite 106, Walnut Creek, CA 94596
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet customers, assess their needs and present beautiful jewelry with enthusiasm and knowledge!
- Handle requests for information and resolve questions raised by existing clients
- Assist clients with custom jewelry designs and redesigns of existing pieces
- Create order envelopes for jewelry and watch repairs
- Assist estate and consignment clients with sorting, pricing, gold buying, and repairing/redesigning
- Connect with team to track status of pending work
- Contact clients regarding status of pending orders
- Process sales through the point of sale system
- Clienteling to build relationships with new and existing clients
- Assist with social media and personal marketing as needed
- Confirm or invite individuals to new appointments and special events
- Assist in setting up the store cases and preparing the showroom daily
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain customer relationships
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS :
Education:
- Associates degree or relevant experience
- A Graduate Gemologist from GIA is highly preferred but not required
Experience:
- Previous experience working in jewelry or luxury sales is required
- Background in customer service
Skills/Attitude:
- PC based computer knowledge (for POS system).
- Superior telephone communication skills
- Excellent written (grammar) and oral skills
- Strong organizational, hospitality and sales presentation skills
- Ability to listen to clients’ needs and creatively offer solutions.
- Self-starter, proactive, trouble shooter and takes initiative
- Punctual, reliable and honest
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Should have a sense of humor and willingness to have fun!
