Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks including troubleshooting issues, repairing failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.
Duties:
Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as welders, pneumatic hand tools, electric hand tools, pumps, motors, compressors, etcetera
- Repair or replace control devices such as switches, sensors, button controllers, valves, motor starters, etcetera
- Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments
- Fabricate and modify new and existing equipment
- Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programming
- Learn and retain skills and practices needed to complete duties in assigned area
- Read and follow detailed operator instructions, installation drawings, blueprints, etcetera, as required
- Self-check work and inspect prior processes
- Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as required
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Initiate process improvements
- Communicate with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams (engineering, materials, purchasing, sales, etcetera) to resolve issues
- Obtain and maintain a valid fork truck/stand up license - including completion of daily maintenance log and proper maintenance of equipment
Requirements:
HS Diploma or GED required
- 4 years of experience in manufacturing and facilities maintenance
- 1 year of experience with HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair-120v & 480v (consideration will be given to equivalent combinations of education and experience)
- Strong and consistent attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task
- Basic computer skills are required
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Maintain a valid driver’s license
- Must have experience using mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metal working machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude a must
- Knowledge of basic assembly processes preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
