Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. The Controller will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial information, providing strategic guidance to senior management, and optimizing the company's financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:-
Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, in accordance with GAAP.

Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic financial plans and performance metrics.

Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for decision-making.

Monitor cash flow, investment, and debt management activities, optimizing the company's capital structure and liquidity position.

Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements.

Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications:-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management roles, preferably in [specific industry/sector].

Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Proven leadership ability with experience managing and developing a team of accounting professionals.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems; experience with [specific software/system] a plus.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
