Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Spectroscopy Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This role involves a critical focus on validating, analyzing, and interpreting large sets of air monitoring data collected with our suite of spectroscopic analyzers to ensure accuracy and reliability. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing statistical tools and methodologies to enhance our data processing efficiency and analysis capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate and ensure the accuracy of air monitoring data collected from various projects.
- Apply statistical and chemometric techniques to analyze complex datasets.
- Develop and implement advanced data analysis tools and algorithms.
- Collaborate with environmental scientists and engineers to interpret data findings and provide actionable insights.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate analytical results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay abreast of advancements in spectroscopy, chemometrics, and data science to continually improve our analytical processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data collection and analysis processes.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Data Science, Physical Chemistry, Chemometrics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and algorithm development.
- Strong proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R) and programming languages (e.g., Python).
- Strong background in chemometrics and data analysis techniques specific to spectroscopic data
- Knowledge and experience in spectroscopy, particularly Raman and optical absorption spectroscopy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with diverse groups.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality data analysis.
