Applied Mechanical Systems, Inc., the region’s premier Mechanical Contracting Company, has an immediate opening for a motivated, qualified Senior Account Manager for our Service Department. You will be responsible for all sales activities and customer relationships between the Company and its commercial, industrial and large institutional clients in the Dayton area. Your key objective is to implement the company’s sales and marketing plan through direct customer sales, sales support, and coordination of trade allies and other sales channels as part of an overall territory plan. In addition, you will be responsible for all commercial service agreement and small project estimating, pricing, and service agreement and project proposal development functions between the company and its clients. In addition to maintaining an existing account base, you will help us grow our customer base in the South West Ohio area. This position requires at least 10 years of previous sales experience; Construction, Service, or HVAC experience preferred.

Position Duties
- Maintain existing account base and bring new accounts in to the Company
- Directly responsible for increasing and maintaining profitable sales by working with customers to identify and satisfy customer wants and needs through the appropriate application of company products and services;
- Responsible for proactively targeting and establishing relationships with customers and trade allies to meet sales objectives, retain customers, and position company as the sole source provider of choice for their HVAC services;
- Must identify and respond to competitive threats through proactive assessment of needs, review of competitive options, understanding of company position and differentiation;
- Utilize and direct company and outside resources to meet sales objectives and enhance customer expectations regarding company and its products and services;
- Establish working relationships regarding customer issues or sales strategy across company internal functions such as marketing, technical support, and operations.
- Provide feedback to the appropriate organization manager regarding market trends, competition, profitable revenue opportunities and customer issues.
- Develop and drive winning territory and account plans to successful closure to meet company sales objectives;
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of: company’s products and services, competition, industry trends, customer needs, requirements, and business issues;
- Effectively develop and communicate professional sales proposals to clients;
- Effectively develop, maintain and report quality territory plans, in-progress deal opportunities, sales forecasts and budgets;
- Work closely with Engineering Managers to develop, estimate, and propose service projects;
- Responsible for obtaining customer information for all contractual, financial, and project/service implementation requirements and to communicate the information to all internal effected departments and where appropriate on Company transaction documents and forms.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Experience: At least 10 years sales or account management experience preferred; Construction, Service, or HVAC experience preferred
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (ideal) or progressive work experience in the construction/HVAC industry (preferred)
- Supervision: This is not a supervisory position

Other Requirements
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Must utilize own vehicle for travel between sites or off site training, educational programs, conferences, etc.
- Must pass a background check
