The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) announces an examination process to create an eligibility list to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Disease Investigation and Intervention Specialist I in the Department of Disease Surveillance. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to four (4) months.
Under general supervision, to function as part of a disease investigation and intervention team; plan and participate in programs related to the control of various communicable diseases; to locate disease sources, identify at-risk groups to prevent, treat and thereby reduce the incidence and risk to citizens; to provide counseling to patients diagnosed positive for a communicable disease, and to provide information on disease etiology and the prevention of communicable diseases.
Disease Investigation and Intervention Specialist I
Education and Training:

Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in science preferred OR minimum of two (2) years experience as a Disease Data Collections Specialist II.
Experience:
License or Certificate:

Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Nevada Driver’s license.
