Job Summary:
- As GA-Pre-K Preschool Teacher at Kiddie Academy, you will play a vital role in providing education-based child care for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years old. You will be responsible for daily planning, management, and supervision of the classroom, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment while implementing the Life Essentials curriculum to foster children's love for learning.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree and teaching certificate level 5 OR Four Year Degree and teaching certificate level 4
- Experience teaching Georgia PreK preferred
- Strong organization and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good understanding of age-appropriate activities for young children
- Ability to plan both long- and short-range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives and GA Pre-K Guidelines
- Compliance with all applicable licensing regulations and Georgia’s PreK requirements
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds consistently throughout the workday
- CPR Certification and First Aid Training required

Responsibilities:
- Create a fun and engaging learning environment to instill a lifelong love for learning in children
- Develop lessons focusing on social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development
- Ensure adherence to Bright from the Start’s Pre-K Guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Address the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each child
- Encourage collaboration with Pre-K Assistants in curriculum planning
- Conduct assessments of children's development and communicate progress to parents
- Maintain open communication with parents, including through parent-teacher conferences
- Keep accurate records including attendance, portfolios, and other child documentation
- Maintain confidentiality and promptly report any suspected abuse to supervisors
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for all children
- Attend required Georgia Pre-K training and other in-service opportunities, including monthly staff meetings
- Plan and implement age appropriate lesson plans, programs, and schedules
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
- Supervise and assist children during all activities
- Address parents' and children's concerns effectively
- Conduct Parent Teacher conferences and maintain developmental profiles for children
- Prepare instructional materials for classroom activities
- Ensure proper maintenance of classroom equipment and materials
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and staff to ensure smooth classroom functioning
- Participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as required
- Provide guidance and counseling to children when needed
