The Program Manager, Accessibility, is accountable for enhancing accessibility services across inpatient and ambulatory settings, serving as the ADA Coordinator, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws. The role will develop strategic plans, manage projects, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to foster an inclusive patient environment.
Responsibilities:

Implement and oversee the strategic plan for accessibility, focusing on patient needs in inpatient and ambulatory settings.

Act as the primary contact for ADA compliance, ensuring all facilities and services meet federal, state, and local regulations.

Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess patient needs, implement accessibility improvements, and coordinate staff training on accessibility practices.

Engage with patients, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to enhance accessibility services.

Partner with key stakeholders in Patient Care, Workforce Health & Safety, Facilities Administration, and Office of General Counsel to improve access and processes to healthcare services available to individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications
Required:

Bachelor’s degree

Experience in hospital, academic medical center, physician group, and/or healthcare provider

Strong influential communication and facilitation skills

Proven ability to build, partner, and maintain long-term relationships with internal and external networks in the healthcare environment.

Demonstrated project management skills

Analytical skills to create, develop, and execute the Accessibility strategy.

Proactive and collaborative
-
Ability to travel to other locations in the Chicagoland area
Preferred:

MBA, MPH, or other relevant master’s degree

Experience leading efforts to promote accessibility

Taken ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program (ACTCP)
